Practical information

Please read the following information to ensure you have a safe and pleasant passenger crossing with us.

Evening Service Deadline

Hovercraft passenger service employees must complete their shift no later than 10:30 p.m. in the summer and 11:30 p.m. in the winter on weeknights (Monday to Friday inclusive). This time limit meets the regulatory requirements for mandatory rest time and ensures compliance with the normal service schedule. Safety is the priority that dictates the operating conditions of STQ services.

In practice, crossings can be made according to the following deadlines:

The service is improved in the evening to accommodate customers arriving by plane or by the MV Bella-Desgagnés after the last crossing scheduled for the day.

Animals

Pets are accepted on board, provided they travel in a closed carrier. Unless other passengers advise otherwise, the presence of the animal in the cage inside the cabin is authorized.

Service / guide dogs are not required to be in a cage as they are trained by a specialized organization to assist their owners. The only exception to this is if the animal poses a clear safety risk (aggressive behavior for example), in which case the captain can impose that the animal be put in a cage or denied access.

Emotional support animals can be treated in the same manner as service/guide dogs, and we want to do our best endeavors to accommodate if:

  • The person requesting the accommodation has proof of dog training issued by a specialized organization or a note from a doctor.
  • The accommodation does not cause undue hardship.
