TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS
The STQ is responsible for the transportation of goods between Harrington Harbour and Chevery between the end of April and the beginning of January, depending on ice conditions.
This service is offered free of charge.In winter, an accessibility program provided by air will allow residents to stock up on perishable goods at preferential rates as indicated in the program by Nutrition North Canada.

Chevery
Cargo to be transported on the MV Bella Desgagnés:
East (Downstream)
- All cargo must be received at the STQ no later than Monday 8:00 am on the week that it is to be transported by the MV Bella Desgagnés.
West (Upstream)
- All cargo must be received at the STQ by no later than Wednesday 5:00 pm on the week that it is to be transported by the MV Bella Desgagnés.
Vehicles
- To confirm the transportation of a vehicle from Chevery to Harrington Harbour to connect with the MV Bella Desgagnés, the STQ needs to be advised a minimum of one week prior to the departure date. This notification can be done either in person or by calling 418 787-0095. After which you will be contacted with a time to deliver the vehicle to the STQ
Local Cargo
- All local cargo (destination Harrington Harbour) must be received by the STQ by no later than 5:00 pm on the day prior to being transported. All cargo should be clearly identified with the name of the recipient.
Gas and Fuel
- The MV Mécatina II only transports approved portable reservoirs to Harrington Harbour to be filled on Tuesdays and Fridays. All reservoirs need to be received by the STQ no later than 5:00 pm on the previous day.
- It is the responsibility of the owner of the reservoir to contact the station manager in Harrington Harbour to determine the product and quantity. This needs to be done before the arrival of the MV Mécatina II in Harrington Harbour.
The STQ will not be responsible for cargo dropped off outside these designated times.
Any cargo received outside these designated times cannot be guaranteed transport.
Cargo should NEVER be left in the parking lot.
Harrington Harbour
For all cargo to be transported from Harrington Harbour to Chevery on the MV Mécatina II, it is necessary to contact the captain or crew while it is docked in Harrington Harbour to determine availability or by calling at 418 787-0095 to make arrangements. All cargo should be brought to the wharf while the MV Mécatina II is docked in Harrington Harbour. The STQ is not responsible for cargo deposited on the wharf prior to the arrival of the MV Mécatina II. All cargo must be clearly identified with the name of the recipient in Chevery.
