MV Lomer-Gouin
Assigned to the Quebec – Lévis ferry, the MV Lomer-Gouin bears the name of the 13th premier of Quebec. In power for more than 15 years (from 1905 to 1920), Lomer Gouin was one of those to have held this position the longest. A sympathizer of the cause defended by Alphonse Desjardins, he was in power when he received legal recognition for his caisse populaire model.
After his reign as Prime Minister, Lomer Gouin was Minister of Justice and Attorney General in Mackenzie King's federal government, before being appointed Lieutenant Governor of Quebec in January 1929. He died in office barely two months later, in Quebec.
